A seamless step & repeating pattern is a design that can be tiled infinitely without any visible gaps or seams.
When the pattern is copied and placed side-by-side, the edges match up perfectly, allowing it to repeat continuously across a surface. This creates an endless, continuous design for things like fabric, wallpaper, and other products.
Up the roll vs. across the roll
Direction & Orientation
Fabrics with patterns can be affected by pattern orientation. In most cases, patterns run up the roll. However, sometimes they run across the roll (railroaded).
Pattern direction should be specified when ordering
fitted covers/tableboxes, skirting, barrel covers, trash can covers, chair covers, seat cushion covers, bar covers and pole covers.
